/ THE ORIGIN

Rwenzori Mountains, Uganda & Kericho County, Kenya

The Rwenzori Mountains, often called the “Mountains of the Moon,” are known for high elevations and a strong tradition of natural processing. Coffee is frequently dried close to where it is grown, contributing to the region’s characteristic sweetness and depth.

Kericho County, at around 1,800 metres above sea level, offers cooler growing conditions and steady maturation. Here, controlled fermentation methods add precision to an already expressive coffee landscape.

/ THE PRODUCER

Lot 20 & Agri Evolve

In Kenya, Lot 20, founded by Sidney Kibet, focuses on controlled fermentation techniques designed to improve cup quality and raise value at origin. Their work is methodical and iterative, refining process to serve flavour.

In Uganda, Agri Evolve partners with smallholder farmers across the Rwenzori range, providing infrastructure, training, and reliable market access. Their efforts have helped strengthen the region’s natural coffee production while supporting long-term sustainability for growers.

We donate 1% to the Film & TV Charity

At Studio Black, we believe in giving back to the community that inspires us. That’s why 1% of our profits are donated to the Film and TV Charity – supporting the mental health, well-being, and careers of those behind the scenes in film, TV, and production.
